IRZoom.com and IRCameras Partner to Offer
MWave-640 Integrated Camera System
Hudson, NH... IRZoom.com is pleased to announce that it has partnered with IRCameras to offer the MWave-640, a fully integrated infrared camera system in the mid-wave infrared (MWIR). As IRZoom's first in-stock integrated camera system, MWave-640 offers 20x 15-300 continuous infrared zoom, combined with the sensitivity of a InSb detector. The system is available now at IRZoom.com.
"We have taken the guesswork out of matching cameras with lenses by offering a single, fully integrated product," says Jonathan S. Kane, business unit director for IRZoom.com. Our initial offering, the MWave-640, is fully controllable via a simple point-and-click graphical user interface. We encourage both new and existing customers to visit the Camera Systems section of the IRZoom.com website for more information."
"While we are always happy to provide integration services to our lens customers, not everyone wants to go that route. The MWave-640 allows us to provide a high quality, fully-integrated system that is ready to go, as sold," explains Kane. "This camera system is perfect for people who want to avoid any concerns about integrating the camera and lens, writing software protocols, or finding mounts. It's in stock and completely ready to go, for exceptional resolution in the mid-wave. We've very pleased to be working with IRCameras to provide this product to our customers."
The MWave-640 provides the sensitivity found only with InSb detectors, combined with a powerful 20X 15-300mm continuous zoom lens. With temperature sensitivity of <20 milliKelvin, the MWave-640 is suitable for demanding thermal imaging applications, including tracking, surveillance, target signature and R&D. The MWave-640 is based on a 640 x 512 InSb focal plane array with a 15 micron pixel size.
The MWave-640's continuous zoom lens provides a field of view from 35.5º x 28.7º at its widest setting to 1.8º x 1.5º at it's most narrow position. The MWave-640 offers both analog video and simultaneous CameraLink digital output. Both camera and lens are controlled via a serial communications interface.
The systems offer integrated infrared optics for companies that prefer a complete front end sensor for their programs. The systems are in production for dedicated customers, and are now being offered for industry programs.
